The race to replace JOHN KIRBY at the Pentagon is on as he heads for a new gig at the White House.
“It’s civilian control of the military, the image of the Pentagon — that spokesman speaks on behalf of the administration,” said ARNOLD PUNARO, former staff director of the Senate Armed Services Committee. “You don’t want a uniformed military person representing the administration’s position.”
